Medina Cemeteries
The City of Medina maintains two cemeteries. Old Towne Cemetery, located on East Liberty Street was given to Medina by Elijah Boardman in the early 1800's and is the resting place of Medina's earliest settlers. It is no longer used for burials.
Spring Grove Cemetery, located on South Spring Grove Street, dates back to the 1880's. Burial sites and a cremains section are available in this cemetery. For information, call 330-722-9056.
On June 7, 2006, Spring Grove Cemetery was named into the
National Register of Historic Places
by the National Park Service, United States Department of the Interior.
All spring and summer decorations will be removed between October 16, 2013 and October 17, 2013. Please remove any decorations that you would like to keep by October 15, 2013. Fall and winter decorations can be placed after October 18, 2013. Thank you for your cooperation. Any questions should be directed to 330-722-9056.
