 The Medina City Parks & Recreation Department is a growing
department that is responsible for maintaining 800 acres of
parkland, athletic fields and all park facilities. It also manages
the Forestry and Cemetery Departments whom report directly
to the Parks & Recreation Director. This alignment of departments
has been a natural progression due to the nature of the work
but also because of the development of the employees, communication, and great teamwork. Our core purpose of taking a place and making it better is a philosophy adopted by this dynamic group of individuals and is seen in their daily work habits and the effective results seen in the field.
The Municipal Pool located at Memorial Park will not be open in 2013.
New this year - The Bookmobile will be visiting Memorial Park and Fred Greenwood Park this summer on Mondays, June 10th - August 19th. Story Times will be 12:00p at Memorial Park and 1:00p at Fred Greenwood Park on June 10, 24, July 15, 20 and August 12. The Bookmobile will be at Memorial Park from 12:30p - 1:15p and at Fred Greenwood Park from 1:30p - 2:15p.
Pavilion Reservations: Medina City Park pavilion reservations for 2013 can be made after January 1, 2013. Reservations can be made in person or by calling 330-721-6950. Payment can be made by mail or in person at the parks office located in the Medina Community Recreation Center, 855 Weymouth Road, Monday through Friday from 8:30a - 3:30p.
