Chief Patrick Berarducci

"Welcome to the Medina Police Department Web Site. I am proud to be the  chief of this fine department. The members of the police department are committed to the community policing philosophy. This philosophy drives nearly all of the activities we are involved in. Community Policing is proactive problem solving policing that puts our officers in direct contact with citizens on a daily basis. We believe that the protection and policing of our city is a shared effort between the police department and the citizens we serve. As a result, we have had great success in reducing crime and improving the quality of life of people in our community. We look forward to continuing this service and success."

If you have a specific question about a report that was taken or an incident that was investigated by the Medina Police Department, you may e-mail the responsible officer directly. The e-mail addresses are the first letter of the first name, with the entire last name @mpd.medinaoh.org.

If you have a general question for the department or a request for service (extra patrol, traffic complaint, etc.) you may send these to Diana Markley, the Administrative Assistant at
dmarkley@mpd.medinaoh.org. Diana will then direct your request to the responsible division for attention.

If you would like to speak with the supervisor of an Officer, you may simply contact the Dispatch Center at 330.725.7777 and ask who the supervisor of a particular Officer is. Please be advised that it is not recommended to e-mail an officer to request immediate response. This should be done by calling the dispatch center at the number noted above or 9-1-1 if an emergency nature.

The Officers work four days on and three days off, as well as attending schools, taking vacations, etc. As a result, an e-mail request may not be responded to in a timely manner as it would by calling an Officer directly.

Sincerely,

Patrick Berarducci, Chief of Police
