| Medina's Ice Festival |
The work of many individuals and public and private organizations was realized in 2009, when the City of Medina became a certified Main Street Community. It was only a year earlier that the City engaged with Heritage Ohio, the overseer of the Main Street Program in Ohio, to initiate Main Street Medina. Main Street is a comprehensive revitalization program that promotes historic preservation and economic development of traditional business districts in the state. Medina joined 31 other Main Street programs in Ohio and 1,668 programs nationwide.
