Employment

MFD is always looking for quality individuals who have a desire to serve their community as firefighters. Due to the fact that we are a paid-on-call volunteer department, potential applicants must live within a four mile radius of one of our stations in order to be eligible for employment. Prior experience and fire/emergency medical certifications are preferred but not required. Applicants are subject to medical, background, and drug screening and are required to pass a physical agility test in order to be considered. Interested candidates can stop by Station 1 to pick up an application.
