The Goal of the 55 and Better Club is to Exercise the Body, Educate the Mind and Make New Friends
Exciting things are going on in the Medina Community Recreation Center for the 55 and Better goup! From the 55 and Better Guest Lecture Series to Pickleball, Bunco, Walking Club, Wii Bowling, Euchre, Chess, and Craft Series - there's always something going on for the seniors in our community.
55 AND BETTER GUEST LECTURE SERIES
GUEST LECTURE CANCELLATION POLICY: If Medina City Schools are cancelled due to weather, the MCRC 55 & Better Guest Lecture Series will also be cancelled. If Medina City Schools have a 2 hour delay, the Guest Lecture Series will go on as scheduled.
The 55 and Better Guest Lecture Series is held at the Medina Recreation Center Community Rooms, just off the lobby. Join us to learn about important topics and issues, meet doctors, healthy living information and lots more. The free lectures are held on certain Fridays from 10:30- 11:30 am. Lunch or refreshments to follow each lecture. A very generous group of local assisted living facilities and other businesses provide the delicious lunches for the events. McDonald's on North Court Street and Route 3 South provide the coffee and tea. For more information, contact Susan Becks 330-721-6934.
If you are an MCRC member, you can walk before or after the program. Non-members can walk before the program for just $1.

SIP N PAINT - MARCH 19 6 TO 8 PM FEE: $5 DONATION
Learn something new & socialize with friends at the mcrc. Sip on a non-alcoholic cocktail while you paint a masterpiece. $5 donation payable to the instructor at the start of class. Drinks and light appetizers will be served. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited - register early! No painting experience needed. Sponsored by Cardinal Court.
MIXED MEDIA ART PROJECT - APRIL 18 & MAY 16 10A-12P FEE: $5 DONATION

Come and enjoy making a mixed media art project. Pre-registration required. Space is limited. Register early! Please pick up supply list when registering. A $5 donation is payable to the instructor at the start of class.

Get fit, have fun, make friends...with the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program
Move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase strength and range of motion. Hand-hel weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for Support. Free for SilverSneakers Members.
Activate your urge for variety! Splash offers fun, shallow-water movement to improve agility and flexibility while addressing cardiovascular, strength and endurance conditioning. No swimming ability is required, and a SilverSneakers kickboard or other aquatic equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination. Shallow water moves to improve flexibility and cardiovascular endurance.
