Community Pool Party is June 25

Friday, June 9, 2017

Medina Community Recreation Center invites the whole community out to Memorial Park Pool on Sunday, June 25 for a fun Family Pool Party from 1 to 5 pm. Medina Sunrise Rotary will generously be covering the admission cost for the first 100 people through the door at 1 p.m. The Medina City Teacher’s association is paying for free hot dogs for the first 100 people and toys for the kids. A local DJ will be spinning tunes and getting the kids involved in fun games from 1 to 3 p.m. No advance registration is necessary.

Memorial Park Pool is located at 421 Homestead in Medina. After being closed for five years, it has been undergoing an extensive renovation project and opened Memorial Day weekend. The renovations to the pool included giving it a zero depth entry with a 5 ft. mushroom water feature for the kids. A double flume water slide has been installed along with two 25-foot shade structures. The fencing has been extended and new lounge chairs have been added. The bath house now has an ADA family changing room and the restrooms have all been renovated.

A new Cabana area with shade and picnic tables can be rented for birthday parties. The pool can also be rented for large parties before or after hours. Information on renting for parties can be found on the Facility Rentals General Info page at www.medinarec.org.

Memorial Park Pool will be open every day throughout the summer from 11 am to 7 pm. Admission is $7 per day for ages 3-59. Children age 2 and under are free and seniors 60+ are $4. A five visit punch card can be purchased for $25. Season passes are available for individuals and families.
