The City of Medina maintains two cemeteries: Old Towne Graveyard and Spring Grove Cemetery.
The Old Towne Cemetery is located on East Liberty Street and was given to Medina by Elijah Boardman in the early 1800's and is the resting place of Medina's earliest settlers. It is no longer used for burials.
Spring Grove Cemetery is located on South Spring Grove Street and dates back to the 1880's. Burial sites and a cremains section are available in this cemetery. For more information or to locate a grave, please contact James Hjort, Sexton at (330) 722-9056 or email@example.com. The office is located in the newly constructed office facility at Spring Grove Cemetery.
In 2016 the City of Medina and the Friends of the Cemetery completed construction on a new maintenance building and office facility at Spring Grove Cemetery. If you have any questions regarding this project please call the Parks Office at 330-721-6950.
Please be advised: The Cemetery will be conducting a seasonal Clean Off October 16 through October 18th. If you have plants, statuary and any other items out, we respectfully ask that you remove these items prior to the clean off beginning October 16th.
Flags of the United States will be removed after Veteran's Day on November 13th,
We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
